What?! You Mean Summer is Over Already?

The end of April, the beginning of May all I could think about was being done with school. I fantasized about getting up every morning and going over to the city pool and sitting all day, chit chatting with different ladies as they came and went. That bubble burst a couple of days ago.

The boys at Liberty Academy cannot handle free time responsibly. That is what I have remembered the last week and a half that we have been off, working on the house. They pester one another, they throw hammers at one another, they try to catch the new siding on fire (because they heard it's fireproof) and they explode tubes of caulk in the path where people walk all day long.

And I know all this. This is why, for the last two years we started school in August. What happened to, "We school year-round"? Well, it needed a break, that's what. In July, two boys will be gone with dad for Scout camp, then two weeks after that, the same two boys will go to youth camp at the same time that young boy is at WeBeLoS camp. HeeHeeHee! I'll have three whole days, entirely to myself. I can do anything I want. and trust me, I am going to make them count.

In the meantime, we are starting TOG1 next week. I bought pens and composition books and SCULPEY yesterday. We will be doing a hands-on activity per week. I start tutoring N in pre-algebra today, hahahaha! I will probably end up hiring someone. Hopefully one of our genius math friends is available once a week during the summer.

Remember to check my new TOG blog, I'll be updating it every week.

A New Blog Endeavor

I've started a whole new blog for Tapestry of Grace, Year 1.
Go ahead and check it out. I've got a couple of quick posts up already.

Now, I gotta go get cleaned up to watch a baseball game. Doesn't seem right, does it? Shaving my legs for little league baseball. But I don't want to sit all alone on the bleachers.
